good morning good afternoon when do you normally do them whenever well I they
0:06
air in the morning they air in the mornings but like we generally do record them in the
0:11
mornings yeah it's normally one of our sometimes into the afternoon one of our first situations but I always say good
0:16
morning because you never know I mean we could be speaking to somebody that's on a different part of the globe and it could be morning for them 5:00 somewhere
0:23
it is 5 o' somewhere and on that specific note I've got a record to set straight I've dug through the analytics
0:28
oh you found out zero Thailand list what is our what is our furthest Eastern
0:34
brother Andor sister listen I was zeroed in on Thailand because if I found a a a
0:40
just a a glimmer of of a Thailand listener that was all I needed to see so
0:47
I was my point is is like I was literally skimming Thailand no Thailand do we have any any like could tell Far
0:54
East you can do that you can see oh yeah YouTube watching yeah YouTube will show you everything it gives you their home
1:01
address I'm just kidding doesn't it does give you their homeand it does tell you
1:06
where they're yeah watching from how far out has it going that's what I'm trying to figure out well listen that's what I'm saying I was so clued in on Thailand
1:12
I couldn't tell you the others if I you know you kind of you skim in a list and you're looking for one specific there is
1:18
a list list which means that I mean it's going somewhere hang on I'm going to see if mobile will let me figure it out
1:24
audience here we go uh geography in the last 28 days second
1:31
runner up for most listened to Country take a while guess America America
1:37
number one Canada no our Canadian Brothers aren't L Hispanic friends uh
1:42
try Germany what we have some German listeners sense we have a connection there with we do have we got some German
1:48
connection we got some German listeners nice about that well now we know I definitely would have thought Canadia no
1:55
no it's it's Germany in the past 28 days interesting so all my German I knew I
2:00
knew you said Thailand though I know but I would have went Mexico just for obvious reasons I think they hate us a
2:06
little bit oh I don't know but I can't understand us that too that too uh I'm
2:12
actually I'll be shocked if anybody else in the world can understand us apparently Germany can I wonder if it's
2:19
the same sensation like you know how women will say oh I love such and such as accent I wonder if it's the same
2:26
situation for rednecks is the redneck accent ever like oh my gosh keep talking
2:32
we went somewhere I've actually never got that I can't remember no I haven't either I'm talking about like other wayes in the world though some lady was
2:39
taking our order or something she oh my gosh where are y all
2:44
from and we we told her I knew it had to be somewhere down south is it that bad
2:49
so you were like ordering food somewhere yeah and they were like golly you can't be from around here oh no we're from the
2:55
hills absolutely and then those those kids that come over as foreign EX ex change students oh man one of the main
3:02
reasons they list as wanting to come to America ISL improve their English oh
3:07
that's bad idea well you came to the wrong to the wrong part of America Globe here not only are you not
3:14
going to improve it but um you're also GNA you're also not hearing English
3:19
either like so just to to communicate also your caseworker must not own a globe because this is not the place to
3:26
come to learn English not no and Charlotte was the best because could make fun Charlotte was cool she'd make
3:31
fun of she was from German and she she
3:37
got really good at saying y'all and oar she had some slang she her and uh Finn
3:43
would make fun of us Tom would make fun of us man listen using our own language
3:49
against us I just I I will which also seems like a very German thing to do
3:55
well they those students at our school in the English classes would always
4:00
finish at the top which always took out as a slap in the face that's offensive they didn't even grow up speaking this
4:06
language and they're whipping our kids Tails I mean they'd start bragging about it and I'd say back to back World War
4:13
that's very true so very true two time two times that's true well good morning
4:18
good afternoon wherever you find yourself in life you are welcome back to Faith and
4:24
Frames so the last two were a little more frame heavy I think this one's going to be a bit more Faith heavy uh so
4:32
hopefully you guys enjoy that we've got a special guest he's already been talking uh if you've been watching uh oh
4:38
been we've been rolling we've been found out we've been rolling and uh uh oh we've been found out but you guys can't
4:44
edit I would yeah we can edit but we're not going can and will are two different things can Will and remembering I was
4:52
going to say big big thing with all three things we ain't said nothing bad yet no we ain't said nothing listen I'll be honest with you several months ago we
4:58
took a poll we pulled audience and we said hey give us some ideas as to who you guys would really like to see as
5:04
podcast guests the most request not just saying that because we go to church together not just saying that because you're
5:10
sitting right here three feet from me and you can beat me up our number one requested James bu Canon you got to be
5:16
kidding nope n James bu Canon people that desperate I'll tell you You' got
5:22
you've got you've got a super fan and I I'll even I'm not even going to let him remain anonymous here but Drew Hall yeah
5:28
Drew Hall Drew Hall on multiple occasions has said when are you getting James on the podcast get James we we've
5:35
we've had your and and truth be told I mean and and it's because we're all just SED busy nowadays but like we have been
5:42
in works on this episode for what like well over a year we've been trying to get together yeah oh well almost a year
5:47
because Green County school schedule very true that and I mean the list of
5:53
accolades oh yeah and descriptions trying to get a hold of James I mean he's got three personal assistants we
5:59
have I need three personal Communications Department J would John back that
6:05
up I'm actually his personal assistant which adds to my list of things I have to do that's true it's good point good
6:12
point so James is uh a loser uh Garrett had this massive list
6:20
before we started rolling I do have a list and I'm going to mention that list as soon as we mention our sponsor of today's episode oh yeah that's a good
6:27
one sponsor of today's episode is none other than animals west of Greenville
6:33
Tennessee at animals West your pets are our passion our dedicated team offers personalized care Advanced treatments
6:39
and a warm loving environment because the animals West every tale tells a
6:44
story Tony Amanda and the crew down on the Newport Highway oh yeah thank you so
6:49
much for sponsoring this episode faith and Frames thank you for sponsoring these animals here at motion Creative Media yeah what was that line your Tales
6:57
what was it every tale tells a story every Tale I've been trying to get who came up with that CH G that was chat GPT
7:04
I've been trying to get him to switch it to every tail tailes a tail that's too many T just you know just it's a lot of
7:09
iteration there tail Tails a tail I mean lot of it is but thought maybe Amanda
7:14
could have come up something like that but I'm guessing you guys never even ask her no we didn't but we absolutely resorted to the powers that be at chat
7:22
GPT you talk about another person who's busy yeah I mean or he just pretends to be busy well I was talking about Amanda
7:28
oh she's busy legitimately busy yeah Ton Tony drives around listen listens to us
7:33
idiots on his radio and drinks C she performs operations on animals while holding two children yeah so and it's
7:41
Lane and Lily who are holding a child themselves yes it's it's a never ending a
7:47
NeverEnding Tony did save my dog well so I got to ask you about that James or uh I told Tony I said I think we're going
7:54
to have James on the podcast finally we've got our schedules aligned and Moon's Moon's lining up in all these situ ations uh he said well be sure to
8:02
ask him about his dog and the bear okay and
8:09
then his dog in the shot collar disease oh okay shot collar or shot shock shock
8:17
all right I'll start with the shock collar mhm uh you got one of them underground fences don't you yeah oh
8:24
that's fanty or invisible whatever they whatever um forcefield my brother-in-law Troy
8:30
mhm should I I do owner of East Tennessee CIS shout him out go is that
8:37
okay hey he's fixed a couple of my vehicles all right hey go to East Tennessee Collision
8:43
for all your auto body needs he's also the source of this the origin of this
8:48
tail literal tale my daughter Mercy was turning nine M well she turned 17 on
8:54
Friday so uh this been eight years ago
9:00
Troy is determined to get her a dog oh yeah and we're we're telling him we're never home no this dog will die of
9:06
starvation or neglect or something we don't need a dog well he wanted to find
9:12
a dog that matched Mercy's personality oh man here comes a red healer oh my gosh that hey and man them things when
9:19
they're babies it's like having a baby oh they're you got to go outside all the
9:24
time or I mean they're making messes everywhere well they're they're bred to her
9:30
and everything oh yeah they eat your feet so uh anyway he gets us this dog
9:36
against our plans and better judgment yeah but I mean you talk about a good
9:41
fella who's took such good care of me my wife my children so uh give him we'll
9:48
give him a pass on this yeah I me he gets he's still got a hundred passes
9:53
with me so he gets us this dog well she's tearing up
9:59
everything and we got to do something so he comes up with the collar playing we didn't want to put in a physical fence
10:06
so we get this invisible fence well it ain't been long ago it's been a few
10:12
months I thought man something's wrong with this dog she won't get off the back steps I mean she's right up next to the
10:19
house she wouldn't even come or nothing she's using the bathroom in the gravel afraid for her life probably won't even
10:25
go in the grass to use the bathroom so now I'm cleaning that up thought what's wrong wrong with this dog is she dying
10:31
so I'm figuring up dog years what is it like seven yeah they say it's like seven for every one to seven so I thought well
10:38
I mean she's getting close to 63 now supposedly getting up there so uh maybe she's dying yeah but I just thought it
10:44
was odd that she wasn't moving so I did a little test the sad thing is this went on for two days before I figured it out
10:52
before I tried Toca you're listening please turn your volume down now yeah I
10:57
mean I love animals so so I I take a few steps off the the steps yeah and I'm
11:03
calling for her and I've even got a little treat there here she comes MH and
11:08
I back up a couple steps we got to test this out you know come a little further I'm just trying to get her back in the
11:14
grass just I thought maybe do her some good to get some dirt and her claws or
11:20
so anyway uh she got to a certain point and I heard that so I knew right then I
11:27
said somebody has changed the boundaries oh on our shot collar turns out it was
11:33
Tony's boy Jace who if you turn him loose will touch every button on every
11:39
remote Jace they had come over to the house and Jace was just roaming around unsupervised I mean you know how that is
11:47
U but anyway he uh he had gone over there and rolled that thing all the way into where every time the dog would come
11:54
off the porch it's shocking the tiny little circle yeah oh wow so we and it
11:59
took forever to convince the dog that the boundaries had been changed back she was like oh she was afraid for her life
12:05
yeah you're trying to trick me into getting shocked she heard In the Arms of an Angel playing in the back of her brain cuz she had watched all them
12:11
commercials she's like I do not want to be on that commercial yeah so that's that story one
12:17
U and Tony came over he thought she was dying too so he came over and he said I
12:22
think her neck's hurting which it was cuz she had been continuously getting
12:27
shocked in the collar so uh but anyway he took the collar off of her took her
12:32
to the clinic run tests on her I mean he's doing blood work trying to figure out if she has cancer or something you
12:38
know but anyway he brings her back so I don't know what's wrong other than she's
12:44
been injured or something cuz she's real tender in her neck yeah well which hey that just tells you right there man does
12:50
a good job with what he does true you know very clear diagnosis and that shot caller also does a good job yeah but he
12:56
you know he didn't yeah shot Coller if I had brand name on that I would I would shout them out see if they' sponsored
13:02
the channel here sucker works the other story I think I need that for my kids it's one of those days I had bus Duty or
13:08
something so it's dark when I'm leaving in the morning and I had left and then
13:13
Susie and the girls were coming on later well it's daylight when they leave and they just happen as they're leaving that
13:20
day look and see the dog laying in a pool of its own blood barely breathing that's never good no uh so she called
13:28
Troy East Tennessee Collision yeah Troy and uh he comes over and the dog is I
13:35
mean she's been just ripped apart and uh you know
13:40
we Tony feels like it was a bear that had gotten a hold of her I don't know
13:45
there's still some I've got like a a video that he took as he's getting ready
13:51
to clean her up you know he put her to sleep and uh had to shave her there a
13:56
little bit Stitch her up so i' showed those wounds to some animal experts yeah
14:04
Bobby Tarlton he says no way it's a bear yeah Tony's convinced it was a bear but she was about dead so what do our
14:10
resident expert think it was Tony said it's a bear I know but what about Bobby Bobby says probably like coyotes I could
14:17
see coyote welcome to Faith and fangs yeah yeah faith and fangs so it looks like
14:23
something sunk into the back of its neck and did one of those slang it around deals
14:29
so I mean but but rip its gizzard out animals West nice Heidi is running free
14:35
better than ever there we go why they're sponsoring the channel nice she was testimony right there there was a few
14:41
weeks where she'd look at you out the side of her head and just wasn't looking at you right t a little bit Yeah but
14:47
right now I'm proud to say fully recovered well you
14:53
mentioned I did I had forgotten the origin of Heidi um being a birthday gift
14:59
originally but because of that that reminded me one thing that uh people uh
15:06
have asked us to do more of and Garrett and I just feel completely unqualified is to talk about our Journeys as fathers
15:15
you're a girl dad times two yeah and on the outside looking in uh very
15:20
successful at it because your daughters are great humans can can I mention the
15:26
list of accolades that accompany girl Dad yeah yeah yeah yeah folks in case you don't know we're talking to the man
15:32
James panan he is not only a follower of Jesus a great dad a great husband a
15:38
great leader here in our church head Deacon I'm going to call him he doesn't like that title but that's what he is to Me song leader basketball coach athletic
15:45
director multi-time championship appearanc twaa basketball coach get you
15:51
some of that coach James Buchanon boo thanks for coming on I
15:57
think only 12% of that was accurate we're rolling with it oh wait I forgot one semi-professional wrestler
16:04
I've been in the ring nice exactly I've been the tag team partner of a WWE Hall
16:09
of Famer there we go that's obviously Ricky Morton my bad Ricky Morton yeah we
16:15
we won our match well obious clap for that shocker there James Buchanon okay
16:21
sorry now you continue I just I had to list the accolades well I mean you know I'm big on accolades big on accolades I
16:26
enjoy them but I have male guys I have two girls my oldest is four my youngest
16:33
will be two here soon precious children by the way well we are way lower on our journey than than
16:40
you are so what you're saying is you're a lot younger than I am years I mean age is age is simply a number as they say
16:47
I'm not even on the totem pole cuz only 33% of my children happen to be female so well yeah well no all all I'm getting
16:53
at is is is you're somebody I look up to uh and and because I see your kids and
16:58
I'm gosh if we can get some advice from James and Susie we
17:03
might probably get her on here might actually be a good dad one day goodness for their mom yeah well what's it so
17:10
what's it been like well they're now teens I mean yeah 19 and soon to be 17
17:18
so interesting thing uh they say this is this is not in the Bible by the way I
17:24
hate to break everybody's heart the Lord works in mysterious ways yeah find that verse o challenge challenge issued to
17:30
the listeners not in there I I'll save you some time spoiled it but got somebody flipping through the pages
17:36
right now know somewhere but you know it's got to be in Colossians it's
17:42
Proverbs Thessalonians or something one of those well you know and I think the concept is
17:49
there you can read and see that we don't understand the ways of God cly above us
17:55
and somebody came up with that phrase based on scripture I and they're mysterious though yeah I mean just don't get them right but uh here in in 2001 I
18:05
began teaching mhm and I get married in the fall uh
18:12
so 2005 rolls around and you know here I am when I get this job girls basketball
18:19
is attached to it yeah and I'm terrified think I don't I I can't do this you
18:26
played basketball like why were you scared different sports here I mean yeah you weren on a girl team but it's it's
18:32
same sport but I had just never worked with females different pace man i'
18:37
always played with guys and I went to Milligan and played four years and coached a year there as an assistant
18:44
never been around females except I mean I'd see our girls teams play yeah yeah and you know South Green has some great
18:50
girls teams Milligan had great girls teams but as far as locking in or ever asking any of those coaches what's the
18:57
challenges of dealing with females as compared to males I'd never done that so when they said if you accept this job
19:05
you're coaching girls basketball yeah well I wanted to coach basketball right but the plan was start out in girls m as
19:13
soon as a boy job opens up anywhere right take it even if it's at that same
19:19
school so a little over 20 years later you're still waiting for that boy position open well it's actually come
19:24
open multiple times about to say I think he's had opportunity but here's what kind of changed my tune on that I coach
19:30
him for you know the 2002 3 and Four Season MH and five so I'm four years
19:37
into this and during that fourth year we find out we're going to have our first
19:43
kid and it's a girl yeah I start thinking you reckon that the Lord had
19:49
something to do with this maybe so then I have the second daughter and now the
19:55
sad part is one of them's gone all the way through Y and I mean I had her
20:00
coaching travel ball yep when she was in third grade she's already made it through and is now sitting on the bench
20:07
helping me right and now here we are the last ride Mercy senior year so uh I
20:15
think all this was you know just like the rest of life if you are submissive
20:21
yeah and obedient then God will direct you know
20:27
this is not my favorite Bible verse but it is my probably most referenced verse
20:33
when people ask me to share my testimony or always go to Proverbs 35 and 6 okay
20:40
trust in the Lord with all your heart right lean not into your own understanding which is great advice
20:46
because I'm an idiot yeah I don't understand a lot of things I'm not get very far yeah in all thy ways
20:52
acknowledge Him and he'll direct your path so I've been coaching 23 years I've
20:57
had two two daughters that actually played for me yep one's coaching with you now no yeah so uh still playing with
21:04
you the other one oh yeah yep so the Lord's had his hand and all that but as far as like the dad
21:09
part uh shoot you've you you learn from so many
21:15
mistakes yeah and uh thank goodness they've got a good Mama I know that
21:21
shout out Susie little claps for that oh yeah but uh if I had any advice to pass
21:27
along when they were little every night we'd
21:33
get them in bed yep we'd pray we'd read a Bible story we'd get through that book
21:39
we'd go through it two or three times and then we'd have to go get a new one you know those Bible picture B yeah
21:45
little tiny ones we went age appropriate the older they got the here's Jonah do
21:50
the five necessary stories first we get a little deeper yeah we start with the five Basics and then move on from there
21:56
but the greatest privilege in my life I mean you read all that stuff off I
22:02
actually was able to lead both my children to Christ in their initial salvation experience phenomenal we go
22:09
home after church one night and uh you know Grace comes and gets in bed with me
22:16
and her mom she starts crying a little bit y what's wrong what's wrong I just
22:21
don't feel right I don't feel right something's going on she said I think I need to be safe we didn't push that now
22:28
not one bit we didn't push it at all we said well uh here I gave her some scripture and some things to think about
22:35
so it's not long till she's hollering at me I'm going in there in her bedroom she says Dad I want to be saved and I got to
22:43
lead my yeah oldest daughter in that prayer so it wasn't maybe a couple years
22:49
later now Mercy's about five or however old she was I can't remember off the top of my head but uh I had just read the
22:57
evening Bible story and they were laying in bed supposed to be going to sleep she jumps out of bed and runs over there and
23:04
curls up in my lap yeah and just real quiet she said Dad I want to be saved
23:09
today phenomenal so I had that honor I mean some kids some people see their
23:15
kids walking aisle yeah yeah or they got saved at bible school or church camp or something like that but mine was right
23:21
there in their bedroom wow when it was just me and their mama and very inate moment oh yeah so that's but
23:30
I think taking them to church is huge worth it it's one of them things where they never get up say we going to church
23:37
today yeah uh not a question it's now the question is how late are we going
23:44
how late are we going to be we're going to be late you got to skate in on two sometimes which I I only see it because
23:49
I'm also skating in on two so so I mean we have that struggle but I I always tried to bring them to church tried to
23:56
read to them uh tried to be a teacher teacher of the word to them right and
24:01
then we took them to when they were little before they got into you know the older you get you're going to camps MH
24:07
or if you play on a ball team you're traveling a lot or practicing you know during the week but back before that
24:14
when they were real Little M we would go to like three or four Bible schools a summer oh yeah every summer we're taking
24:20
them to if we knew a person that went to this church we're going to that churchs remember those days if you can
24:27
pour go gospel and Bible yep into your kids I'm just crazy enough to believe
24:35
that God knew what he was saying when he said if you train them U right yeah they won't depart from it right now that
24:40
don't mean they ain't going to make mistakes right some might even stray pretty far away right but I don't think
24:46
they'll ever get far enough to where they can't remember right that moment yeah their of roots yeah or where they
24:52
came from or what they were taught so if anything good has come from the lives of
24:58
my children it's been probably in spite of me because of their mother and all by
25:04
the grace of God yeah there you go there you go boys so make make that effort
25:09
yeah how how important do you think it is and and again this is just from you know Dad to Dad to to Dad how do you how
25:16
important do you think it is especially in today's time for them to have that
25:21
that relationship with Jesus because I I know one thing that Jared and I have talked about on the podcast and and just
25:27
out and about with folks is I think young people now are searching yeah a
25:33
lot of them don't know what they're searching for but with with all the Havoc that's going on right now in the
25:38
world like they are searching for something how important is it to to give them that thing oh it's of utmost
25:45
importance because you look at the path that some oh man it's sad and I'm teaching
25:52
there in public school oh yeah you see we're we're at a smaller one sure I mean they say the the bigger the place the
25:58
bigger the problems I mean I don't know if that's all always necessarily true some of the craziness I think you've
26:05
alluded to it's found its way to Bellon yeah or belon belon yeah there you go so
26:12
uh a lot of confusion out there you're right they're just looking a lot of it I think well these kids really need love
26:19
they need attention they feel like if if if they do this say this somebody will
26:26
actually pay attention somebody's going to pay attention them what's neat is when they find out from an early age
26:31
that that person that loves them more than anybody yeah is God so much so that he sent his own son to die for their
26:39
sins so uh the earlier you can start getting that in a kid's head the better
26:44
off they're going to be I I think I think that stems a lot from just a societal situation that we are so as
26:53
people distracted mhm Yeah by everything by design of the enemy I yeah
26:59
wholeheartedly agree with that but I mean you think about it like when once you get home from your lengthy days work
27:06
length varies per per occupation and per person but once you finally get home first thing most people do is turn the
27:13
TV on or they bury their face in their phone well Doom scrolling here's the situation here's the issue is like if
27:19
you've got kids MH they're not getting the attention and the love that I mean
27:24
kids need that right and so yeah I think that's why you see kids searching and I also think that
27:32
maybe kids act out yeah um to get like a reaction from someone because at that
27:38
point it's like oh you're paying attention to me here's the even scarier thing is kids kids nowadays don't even
27:44
have to search they're getting fed oh yeah anything and everything that's what's the the most scary thing to me is
27:50
even if they're not searching they're getting fed all kinds of just garbage it's almost on the daily basis yeah it's
27:57
like these days if you're getting any gospel if you're it's in in in spite of
28:04
all these other things that they got to siher through first you know I me it's
28:09
just the it's difficult times but you guys sit here and brag on me golly what
28:15
beautiful families shoot you guys don't sell yourself short I have a beautiful wife it's a circus You' got a it's
28:21
unbelievable you guys are doing a heck of a job yourself we appreciate I need to be the one asking you all the
28:27
questions feel that on the daily but I certainly appreciate those words hey you mentioned you mentioned VBS and we just
28:34
wrapped up VBS here I'm still war slap out um here at a Liberty but one of the
28:40
things that they had to do in crafts was they had to take the first letter so they had to take their favorite Bible
28:45
verse and if it was 16 words there were 16 letters you took the first letter of every word and they made bracelets I was
28:52
like oh that's interesting so let's see what what would be my favorite Bible verse so somebody would look at your bracelet be like those letters don't
28:58
even make sense what is that and it just gives you an opportun to start a conversation it's a conversation start
29:04
whose idea was that now that I don't know that's brilliant that is that's a really that might be uh it might be Karen's actually Karen was in charge of
29:10
Cen and we're gonna give Karen the credit it was it was a beautiful thing and it got me to thinking I was like
29:15
they also did the marshmallow Shooters yeah which is equally is that was a hit awesome well almost equally what what is
29:23
your favorite Bible verse and why that's easy you know I've tried to run from it
29:29
cuz there were many years I thought that's a good one but you know surely there's a better one you know you're in
29:35
younger and stupid but the older I got this one has grown on me I anytime I
29:42
would try to say no this one's my favorite I'd always come back to this it's Romans 8:28 okay for we know that
29:50
all things work together for good to them that love God M to those who are
29:55
the called okay according to his purpose well we don't know his purposes right
30:01
but we know the outcome is going to be for our good but that ain't for
30:06
everybody yeah yeah that's if you love God there's a condition there so I mean
30:11
you could have a death in the family my dad died back in May of 23 yeah and
30:17
you're telling me all things work together for good well of course they do yeah not necessarily in this life right
30:25
but he's you know painfree pain free living it up I've got the hope to see
30:31
him again so I mean you hate it when he's not here I mean uh some things been
30:36
going on lately and and I was just talking to my sister on the phone yesterday how we would enjoy right now
30:43
to hear dad's perspective on this or that sure oh it'd be great I'd like to have Luke's perspective yeah I mean it's
30:49
going to work out and you may be in financial ruin you may be in the a
30:54
Health crisis you may be in the middle of the biggest war you've ever been in
31:00
with your spouse yeah do you love God okay it's gonna work out yeah you
31:06
just got to trust him yeah yeah but that one's my favorite Romans 8:28 that I think the whole book of Romans is a good
31:11
book oh man Romans and Hebrews John uh those you go back to Isaiah and
31:20
the Old Testament I mean you've got they're all good but there's some that are John John's my favorite
31:28
I've learned that uh oh Paul reading reading the reading the speech from
31:34
fisherman yeah and someone educated like Paul some some of Paul's is a little more difficult to read John John reads
31:42
really easy you know it's it's it's it's it's a great read that's actually where my favorite Bible verse comes from and
31:47
it's I've again I've tried to think like God there's got to be a better one this is the first verse I learned as a kid it
31:54
can't be my favorite well there might be some reason why this is the first one taught John 3:16 yeah for God so Lov the
32:02
world that he gave his only begotten son so that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting
32:08
life you know the story on that verse though uh it'd be hard for me to preach
32:13
or teach the Bible not not impossible but you can preach the whole Bible from Romans
32:21
8:28 John 3:16 is it easily communicates the message of the whole that's that's
32:27
exactly why it's my favorite it is the entire gospel in I don't know how many words there are there but one verse the
32:34
way that it's broken up in the in the Bible I'm going old and and you actually mentioned the book uh my favorite and
32:40
actually this was my mom's favorite as well and I guess she ingrained it in my head uh growing up but it's Isaiah 4031
32:47
the very last they that wait Bond the Lord shall renew their strength mount with wings as eagles they will run not
32:53
be weary walking will not faint that's from Remember The Titans too it's good verse and actually that whole whole book
32:58
um that whole book is basically God proclaiming his greatness yeah to the basically to the Frailty of man if I
33:05
remember and I'm going to heavily paraphrase this but somewhere in that in that chapter uh he mentions that we are
33:11
grass basically we're going to wither away you says but who's measured you know the water in his hands yeah who's
33:16
measured Mountains on a scale right um things like that just procla proclaiming his greatness again so that's that's
33:22
probably my go too good old 4031 yeah possibly the if yall ever thought about
33:27
this and I I hear different people talk about it but the top two chapters in The
33:32
Bible or maybe the top chapter from the old and the top top chapter from the new
33:38
I've always heard Isaiah 53 okay from the Old Testament yeah Romans 8 or John
33:45
3 CU there's a lot of there's theology there's there's Doctrine there's gospel
33:50
there's it I mean Jesus all over but anyway that's you
33:56
know I think the whole book pretty good book the whole thing is good I tell you I need to read more of it you you yeah
34:02
absolutely you absolutely cracked me up uh you and I guess My Doppelganger River
34:08
Rat uh one of your all skits this week at bible school you were talking about
34:13
um he he came in and he stumbled because he was reading he tripped over and he said I'm reading this book and I really
34:20
likeed the first bit of it so I went ahead and flipped to the backup to figure out how it
34:25
ended and we were talking about revelation you know consumation and that was our last C of the seven C's right I tell you
34:32
you cracked me up I don't know if those are rehearsed those are strictly improv they
34:38
are the highlight of VBS for me well they kind of give you something to go by give you a little guide and and Monday
34:44
through Friday we tried to go by the guide but we' be off the rails but Sunday we completely they we should we
34:51
get together and write up something for Sunday for the program I I said no it's
34:57
be better if we just walk out there and see what happens so that that was totally we'll wing it my favorite part of Bible school is when you know Josh
35:05
has his fake beard yeah yeah he you know he looks like Phil Robertson or somebody got the wild hat so uh he's not there
35:13
one night you know in the skit he's not there so I'm asking the kids has anybody seen riverr which by the way that wasn't
35:20
even the name that bible school gave to this character I just made that one up oh that's better it's got to be better
35:26
than what was in the text know what they had it was like person one and person two you got to have a name you need to
35:32
call up LifeWay and tell them to reconsider their character in we just made up River cuz we were on the Great
35:38
River jungle jungle Journey or something we going down a river there's a boat on the stage big boat so I figured we was
35:44
on a river but uh I asked the kids has anybody seen River Rat and they turn
35:50
around yeah I seen him they point up there Jared Jared's up in the Crow's Nest running the sound and uh they point
35:57
up there him thought he found him out yeah they found him out hey and you got that picture y'all had your picture made
36:03
together that's on Josh's phone River Rat's phone did he put don't forget he made the manate the manate God made it
36:11
all there you go creatures big creatur small he made you and me there were some Bops in this week I had a really good
36:17
time at bible school I I'm telling you I was wor slap out and I'm sure the kids were but most of all he made that manity
36:25
I'm telling you there are some slappers in that playlist yeah I think so well so especially when we were incorporating uh
36:32
I don't know can you say politicians names on this show I think so I mean it's what was the there's going to be so
36:38
much peace yeah the most peace you've ever seen in your life so much going to be
36:43
sick we're going to have so much peace that was uh peace love and joy was that song and there's a there's a break in it
36:48
where so much so much peace and then there's silence and James filled the air uh he like you've never seen
36:56
before you're going to be so sick of Peace have the greatest peace it's the
37:01
most peaceful the peaceful peace
