listen I had a small glimpse into your daily life cuz you teach at North Green
0:05
High School right so sir you teach High School Kids on The Daily well that's that's what I was tasked with was that
0:12
age group for for Bible school man that's a I'd much rather have
0:18
them them little ones scare me to death the little ones are crazy in a different way I think uh the the interesting thing
0:24
with high schoolers and this is one of the points that we wanted to talk with you about is what what is the difference
0:30
now cuz you said you started teaching what back in 01 that's when you took your position y what's the difference
0:35
nowadays in um just communicating with the younger generation whether it be
0:41
teaching coaching spreading the gospel like what what does the approach look like now even the kids this once you get
0:47
through all the reiz and for real for reals like what how do you get through all that oh Lord I don't even know what half that stuff means but it's like
0:54
they're speaking another language but this is going to sound bad and it may be
1:00
different in other places I can just go by what I've experienced but when I first started teaching it seemed like
1:07
there was a lot more of those kids that had uh both parents
1:16
living at home yeah and were being raised in church right and I felt more
1:22
confidence early on I mean I it never crossed my mind I
1:27
mean I know these people some of them play ball for me or they you'd see them at the games yeah they'd invite me out
1:33
to their Church I'd be speaking or singing at churches I'd see people that oh I know them from school and it just
1:40
seemed like that there was a lot more of that I had confidence you can say anything you don't have to worry
1:48
right about somebody getting offended or upset about it and fast forward to today
1:54
there's a lot of kids that maybe they're living with grandparents right or they're in Foster care or maybe it's a a
2:03
single parent you got a few wild I mean wild situations where uh the person
2:10
they're living with is not even blood kin yeah it's their
2:17
mother's ex-boyfriend right who took them in because Mom was in such bad
2:22
shape I mean if you could think of the wildest scenarios what you're seeing now now
2:29
does that make you tread a little easier
2:34
it it don't me and I I can remember I got this story that I tell most time
2:39
when people ask me to come and and share they'll say you care to give us a 10minute devotional that's difficult for
2:46
me some you know some people it's like you always go long in Sunday school oh my goodness I uh wind
2:53
bag it just keeps blowing some people are like gosh how am I going to fill 10 minutes up and James is like I like have
3:00
202 can I have 50 on the short end this this is the one this is my go-to when I've got 10 minutes or less um I'm
3:07
sitting in a class in college they're preparing me to be an educator right in
3:12
the public school system so the and I'm at a Christian School in college I'm at this Christian
3:20
School and the topic comes up professors you know going through what you can say
3:26
what you can't say and uh here here's how I made it through college all right
3:31
I ain't very smart so uh and th this is terrible I tell my kids all the time
3:37
don't be like me I wasn't a very good student I mean if if if I came back to the dorm and you got a huge test the
3:44
next day to study for yeah but that PlayStation's calling my name I need to
3:49
get over here andiz rolls piz roll in oven it was NBA Live you go uh and you
3:55
know we had entire Seasons going they call called me the commissioner I'm calling up dorm rooms hey it's your game
4:02
yeah if you're not here in 10 minutes I'm simulating tournaments yeah we're moving on right so uh wasn't the best
4:08
student so I can remember when I pulled up in the parking lot to take my teacher exam when it's all said and done you got
4:14
to pass this or you don't get a license right I pulled up in the parking lot uh
4:21
Lord if you want me to teach school you're going to have to help me pass this test cuz I'm pretty sure me
4:28
with the knowledge right now have a good guessing day here cuz I'm said Jesus
4:33
Take the Wheel yeah and you know James said Jesus take the pencil yeah first try we we passed on the first try the
4:41
Lord passed the test he I moved the pencil so uh anyway when we get in it I
4:47
can remember thinking back on those classes mhm and that Professor leading
4:53
that day telling you what you can do and what you can't do and what you can say and what you shouldn't say and if you want to keep your job and I can just
5:00
remember everybody taking part that day in class they were raising their hand giving their opinions uh sharing
5:06
examples right and you know when I got you know High School you kind of skate
5:12
through at least back in my day in college you have so I my the card that I
5:18
played was I want my professors to feel sorry for me I want them to see that
5:24
he's an idiot but he's trying you're going the pity route so in high school I'm sitting in the back of the class
5:30
yeah in college I'm on the front row yeah oh good strategy effort and I'm not missing any classes good strategy and
5:36
when they would ask questions I'd get a puzzled look on my face and start flipping pages and they're like ain't
5:42
asking this guy we got to help this he's trying bless his heart yeah you know so
5:47
we'll give him a c that or D whatever it takes D I I I made it
5:54
through my whole college career that way okay never speak up in class okay you
5:59
know my dad had this famous saying you can either keep your mouth shut and people will think you're an idiot or
6:05
open it prove them right that's it or open it and here they all fig they don't have to wonder they don't have to wonder
6:11
true so I never said in and that day in class and it's one of those like exit
6:16
classes where you're getting ready to graduate and here's this last bit of helpful information before you start
6:21
your just need the credit education career so I'm just sitting there and the
6:26
Holy Spirit starts moving on me m basic basally like are you just going to sit here and you ain't going to say nothing
6:33
and and what they were all saying was well if a kid approaches you then in
6:38
your own time maybe outside of class you can share your opinions ah okay but
6:44
don't ever do that yeah don't invoke it in front of a class of kids yeah uh you
6:51
wouldn't want some person from another religion pushing or pedaling their faith
6:56
on your children so it's not fair for you to p P that on their children now if
7:02
they ask you personally then I mean that was that was going through that whole class period that day it's all anybody
7:08
was saying you can't do this you can't do that and the longer I sat there it just started swelling up in you those of
7:16
you that's born again you know the feeling that you get when you know you have to do something maybe you don't
7:22
want to do it sweating a little bit but uh you start white knuckling pews y uh
7:27
so anyway I finally raised my hand and there's like this Collective gasp in the room they're like the idiot's going to
7:33
speak talking so uh you know the the professor called on me and I said you know I hear everything y'all are
7:40
saying and uh everybody's entitled to their opinion mhm but I took him straight back to that
7:48
verse I shared earlier Proverbs 35 and 6 go trust in the Lord with all th heartly not in thy own understanding in all thy
7:55
ways yeah yep acknowledge Him so I can't take a break from that when I go to work as a matter of fact I
8:02
have to treat my work like my mission field now some people get called to the
8:07
Congo yeah some people get called to China or wherever uh I feel that I've
8:13
been called to Bel to belting public education so uh you know we we have some
8:19
things that we do there in Wellness class there's a lot of correlation you can make when you're talking about the
8:25
human body yeah decision making Y and there's all kinds of opportunities where
8:31
you can reference mhm teachings
8:37
Concepts sometimes I even share the name of the person that hey now Jesus said
8:43
yeah you know so and and I've never been afraid of that I can't imagine losing a job for any better
8:52
reason right yeah and I'm also crazy enough to think that if that door closes
8:57
another will open well yeah Lord give me something else yeah well and at the end of the day too I mean and there's
9:04
actually a quite lengthy list of folks who are unbelievers that will
9:09
acknowledge that just on a a just a practical level Everything Jesus said
9:15
was pretty good stuff yeah good advice good practical application things like that I know one really popular uh person
9:22
who's not a Believer by any means but like Adam Savage from The MythBusters he he has proclaimed in a couple different
9:29
occasions that he he likes the teachings of Jesus yeah now he doesn't claim to be a believer he's like he said good stuff
9:36
these are all good that makes sense if we all treated everybody like we wanted to be treated you know that whole Golden
9:41
Rule thing that came from Christ Our Lord then this world would be a better place that's where it come from but
9:47
there is a line that you draw mhm and uh he had some teachings and you either
9:53
take them all or you don't take them right at all in my opinion but there's one hard line he takes where you're
10:01
either saying all right this Jesus guy he's either a liar right yeah he's a
10:07
lunatic okay or he's Lord right I just heard that from David Jeremiah I think it was like last week but he was he was
10:14
preaching his series on the the I am statements in the Gospel of John yeah and when he says I am the way the truth
10:21
and the life and no man comes to the father but by me yeah yeah then you've
10:28
got all these people people saying well if they're sincere in their belief it really don't matter what they believe
10:35
all these different paths can lead to God yeah well then if that's your take then Jesus lied right uh and if he is
10:42
claiming to be the Son of God and you think maybe there is no God or or maybe
10:48
uh that there is a God but it's just not the one he's talking about okay then you might consider him a lunatic but because
10:55
of that statement he's he's one of those three yeah and you know I'm going with the
11:00
third I'm going with Lord so if he is Lord if it's that big a deal how can you
11:06
not share it your everyday life if you work with people and they have no idea you attend church if they have no idea
11:12
you're a Christian you missed the boat a little bit tell me what are you doing listen that's are you just in this to make money and cash a check and go to
11:19
the beach and yeah on mission trip want to I think one of the the most sad
11:25
things we could hear on this Earth is oh I didn't know you were a Christian that's sad ain't it yeah and that
11:31
happens yeah uh it's like oh I'm not something else is when they know you're a Christian and they might say I thought
11:37
you were Christ they heard you say something or something you're like ouch yeah that kind of hurt yeah well listen
11:43
there was one yeah uh I'm not him yeah me neither um I'm way down at Leist oh
11:50
yeah absolutely uh it was funny in Bible school we were talking about uh Ten
11:56
Commandments and I said something about ly and he said yeah I've never I've not
12:02
I've never lied and I said well I think you might have just did whoops BR you broke your streak right
12:09
there uh so John one of the things that he says I love is is he says the uh his
12:14
brother John yes or the gospel writer John I'm sorry clar John M joh your
12:19
brother okay say look and he probably didn't coin this phrase but he says the
12:25
message never changes the method has to and so what have you seen I mean you've
12:33
been in public education and coaching for 25 years now or however long it was
12:38
20 plus um what are you seeing as being effective at reaching the kids
12:46
today technology okay if you can somehow put it on a phone or show them an app ah
12:54
uh they they they're really into that stuff music has always been a hit sure with kids and that has changed a lot
13:00
through the years I came up during that era and you're going to have a lot of listeners R me off right here uh but I
13:06
don't care I'll defend this stance to anybody I don't care if it's some old woman that that only sees thing one way
13:13
but if uh if you've got a person that is talented and can
13:20
play like Garrett over here i' give anything if I could play the guitar like
13:25
Garrett oh it don't take much I fake it a lot well I if if I can plug something into a
13:32
little electricity yeah and turn the volume up a little bit and can glorify
13:38
Jesus that way yeah using my talent yeah the person that's telling me that ain't
13:44
right or that's not the way you need to do that look uh it's time to get over
13:50
yourself and uh that's one change I've noticed I kind of grew up in that old
13:56
school where it was either hymns or Southern Gospel and and even if the
14:02
southern gospel song had drums in it you you had to somehow muffle them that out
14:09
that DRS out set the church on fire and now I've gone from that opinion and I don't know that I even ever had that
14:16
opinion but it was like when DC Talk Jesus Freak and some of those songs were
14:21
coming out we were told that's just Satan yeah making his way in the gospel
14:27
making his way in the gospel what if it's Jesus making his way into rock and roll what if somebody hears the gospel
14:34
in a way that they enjoy hearing it yeah and it it brings about a response well
14:40
I'm like Paul I'm not like Paul but I I agree with what Paul says I will be to
14:48
all men all things so by as all means
14:53
might be able to reach one yeah so he's all things to all people so he can reach
14:59
people right so you know and now we've had that discussion though I think music uh I think music is such a big thing for
15:06
young people and and I've I think we've talked about it here on the podcast there may be a young person that comes
15:12
into a church for the first time ever yeah and there are probably occasions
15:17
where if the first thing they hear is a hymn it might scare them a little bit yeah I mean and that that's just real talk there are some words that we don't
15:24
even use anymore that we're still singing and and you talk about a a him F
15:30
I love I love me and Jerry go back forth every once in a while and which ones are our favorites and I've been in some low
15:37
moments in life and a hymn will get you through it it will it will I grew up on
15:43
hims and I love them but I I think that the Lord can use the message through any any genre of music and I mean I'm I'm
15:50
even on the the Hard Rock Spectrum uh speaking of that because there's metal bands that I like like for today like if
15:57
you listen to their lyrics and read their lyrics like they're they're theologically sound I like me some Zach
16:03
Williams rattle yeah Zach Williams get so like things like that though that rattle gets 10 plays a week from me nice
16:11
as it should at least but that's that's a way that we can communicate with a younger generation who may not be able
16:18
to to use one of your brothers terms colloquial lie yeah uh with him or with a traditional church song I think I
16:25
think one of the biggest things I've noticed is is it's not in the public School space cuz I'm not immersed in the
16:30
kids like you are but um I think as the church you know
16:36
traditionally people would say well why are you doing all these events and all this and and doing this big Fourth of
16:43
July thing and whatnot I mean I don't know that we've specifically had people ask that but my point is is people are
16:49
looking and like why are you doing that the times are on or like they know when we're here you know we've heard people
16:55
say that are on the side if they want to come to church they'll come I don't I think th gone are those days where
17:01
somebody might wander into a church like you've got to go to them yeah yeah well
17:06
what part of all right uh Jesus tells his followers come with me boys I'll
17:13
make you Fishers of Men now you tell me what fisherman goes out on a pond in a
17:20
boat and just kicks back and waits on the fish to jump in the boat what about the Great Commission yeah how's that
17:26
how's that word I think the key word in the whole and the whole thing is go go
17:32
go ye into them four walls yeah and I'll bring them all to you go ye to church and if somebody wanders in and you're
17:38
sitting on the second Pew far right yeah get ready they're sitting beside you today I'm not you need to go to church
17:45
I'm not I'm not talking bad about going to church but I'm talking about you know when we look at church wrong um it's a
17:52
building to a lot of people instead of church being the climax of your spiritual experience through the week
17:59
you should actually be having those throughout the week when you're sharing your faith when you're winning people to Christ or when you're in there
18:05
counseling with somebody that's going crazy or losing it all and it's all falling apart all right that's the
18:11
ministry yeah Sundays is the recovery yeah that's where you come in and you you as a collective group you celebrate
18:18
the fact that you're yeah and you worship together you get fed it's almost
18:24
like you go to the grocery store and re fuel or you go get gas but now let's go
18:29
out and get the work done so but you mentioned working on kids technology y
18:36
music here's something that hasn't changed feed them there you go food we
18:41
have a few events out during the during the year and you always Supply free food
18:47
yeah that brings them from the Woodworks I have seen in personal experience people walk out with like six to go
18:52
containers yeah and we did have this a couple times and this is one of them where you just pick your B you'll have
19:00
like we have an FCA meeting at school and you've got food that you provide and
19:06
it's free and and you say hey FCA at 11:30 in the gym today we're having
19:11
biscuits or we're having Donuts or we're having candy or whatever Count Me In and
19:16
we've had some kids I know you you're going to have a hard time believing this fell they'll come in and get the food
19:22
and leave ah and everything within my natural body wants to go grab them and
19:28
say hey hold on and say wait you got to hear it before you can eat it but uh we
19:34
just try to let them go hey maybe one day they'll come in and stay for three seconds and in that three seconds
19:40
they'll hear what they need to hear hey that's the way you got to play this thing listen I I got one last thing I'd like to hit on and we we we briefly
19:47
touched on it but I think I think a lot of
19:52
people think oh well that's the preachers job or that's what the evangelists do or that's what the
19:57
missionaries do they spread the word but John one of the many things that he says
20:04
uh on Sundays is he's mentioned several times James is not a coach James isn't a
20:10
teacher those are just the vehicles right in which the platforms he is able
20:15
he's not just a semi-professional wrestler no but you know people think oh I I I
20:24
don't come into contact with people like there's no way I can I work from home witness or or or or or minister or or or
20:31
or you know uh spread the gospel I mean how simple is it though
20:37
what can you do though all right now we're all given the same commission commandment Garrett referenced that
20:43
earlier both of you did uh we're supposed to go preach make disciples uh some people are terrible at
20:51
it they hate it yeah they don't want to do it they're very uncomfortable they can't they they just right they're not
20:58
outgoing people right well I I still don't think that means you can just
21:04
ignore a few of the pages in The Bible and just tear those out of your got find find a way but what can you do okay can
21:12
you cook a meal okay I think so can can you maybe take some food to somebody can you uh we all know people can pray for
21:20
folks yep can you see something that they need done maybe
21:25
uh like I'm currently working through I'm navigating through a flat tire on my lawn mower yard's probably a little high
21:32
so if if the yard's in bad shape could you most M's yard and you know when when you do things like that it catches
21:39
people's eye right why in the world they do that what's different about him or you ask about their kid that's been sick
21:46
hey is your kid feeling better what makes this person so nice and that's where I think we get this thing
21:52
backwards we feel like we have to go scream at somebody say the perfect
21:57
things going to hell yeah if you don't listen to me right now right right right and and then they they're going to shut
22:04
you out maybe forever yeah but if if you can start out by building some type of
22:10
connection or relationship just being nice then yeah just be nice then a door
22:16
will open at some point here's a prayer that I've prayed and I promise you every
22:22
time you pray this prayer God answers it this is an automatic wake up in the morning say hey
22:30
God can you put somebody in my path today that I can share the gospel with
22:35
and if you've got that on your mind all day you'll see somebody you're like oh I bet that's the that's the one so I mean
22:42
a radar on and it may be just that you're thinking about it more because you've made that your prayer for that
22:47
day but I've never had God not answer that yeah on the flip side that token you better be ready if he does yeah you
22:54
better be ready better be ready to cook that meal and it and it don't always go well and people get discouraged I had uh
23:01
some doors slammed in my face before we've been kind of threatened and don't
23:06
come back here and all that went to one place nobody was home and uh the dog
23:11
chewed the pant leg oh my gosh out of my bridges nice wow yeah so I me it don't
23:17
always go well it don't always go great but uh well we've not promised that it would be pretty that's exactly right
23:23
listen there's one last thing I want to say we had VBS as we've alluded to this entire
23:29
situation we've alluded to that kids are changing they're different I taught the high school kids
23:35
I learned that there are kids who pour ranch
23:41
dressing on their spaghetti I think you need to set the record straight that
23:46
that's dang near disgusting so this this is one way that I'm able to this is I I
23:52
don't necessarily do that great in like huge crowds I like small groups I like one-on ones and I really like to I don't
23:58
know I like to banter with people right so these kids I was giving them a hard time I was like you put you put Hidden
24:04
Valley Ranch on this perfectly good SPH it's Hidden Valley which is disgusting all in itself well that's what we had
24:11
but anyways and I I'm a fan they I like I'll eat it I'm booie I like homemade ranch well yeah that's always better but
24:18
the point anyways you put Ranch on this perfectly spaghetti we're getting side
24:23
Dr yeah yeah yeah it's good you gotta try like the spaghetti's great on its own you don't need anything so but like
24:29
what what happened to parmesan as a topping I had parmesan on mine and garlic toast anyways when was that not
24:35
sufficient they said well you try it I said I I'll I'll make a deal with you boys I said any one of you know Parable
24:42
the sewer and the seed they said I've heard of it I was like okay well there's four souls referenced in that
24:48
Parable I said I'll I'll make a deal with it I will try this nastiness of
24:55
this Ranch and spaghetti if you got promised to come back tomorrow and tell
25:01
me summarize whatever it takes explain explain that's an opportunity Parable
25:07
eat nasty food to I was like reach Souls there we go there well I mean it's like
25:12
an Fear Factor yeah that's that's how I like oh it was nasty it wasn't good I'll never start I I'll never you know what
25:18
though now that you mention it if you take the noodles out of the equation cuz I I mean I always put all
25:25
my food on you know you got these weirdos that don't want their fou separ I just pile it all in it's all going to
25:31
the same place so at the end of a meal normally I mean what goes with spaghetti salad yeah yeah so there'll be times at
25:38
the end of your meal you've got some ranch and you've got some residual some spaghetti sauce you can lap it all up
25:44
still in the plate and then when when you go through with that bread oh yeah the bread's good you're mixing some
25:50
ranch and some spaghetti sauce there and I I'll have to say but you have the bread as a carrier the bread as a
25:57
carrier that's what I say you got take the noodles out I think noodles and Ranch that's a little weird I guess
26:02
ultimately what I'm trying to say is you can make deals with kids absolutely
26:07
whatever it takes challenge them in ways to uh go read the Bible to reach them with bad Ranch hey it that that was a
26:16
small price I paid and both of the kids came back and they they they both on individual I got them aside separately
26:22
right tell tell tell me tell me he took one for the team he said this is all right this is this this and I was like
26:27
yep I got the other kid same thing like they both did their job they held up there into the bargain and I had to eat
26:33
couple bites of ranch and spaghetti I just played kickball and picked gats off of myself all week it
26:40
was SW Dan like a mad fool yeah with all them little get dance yeah a had a good
26:47
week had a good week manate James yeah thank you oh thank you for Hope Drew
26:53
Hall satisfied with these two idiots here today if he ain't we'll just have to run it back for v2
26:58
we'll have to have part two I will say that probably most
27:04
disappointing part of our time togethers we've just not had enough time to discuss the world of professional
27:10
wrestling that might have to be part two CU I I've I've teed you up on that one a couple kid I have been a fan and when I
27:18
was growing up we have four channels but you had to go outside and turn the antenna to get that fourth one so really
27:23
it was just three uh was that back when WWE was on uh Saturday
27:29
WCW was WCW back then W no this was WWF World Wrestling Federation World
27:35
Wrestling Federation it was on Saturday evenings at 6 but it was all time these terrible matches it they were everyone
27:42
was a squash match yep where you knew who was going to win but they would talk about the pay-per-views coming up now I
27:48
never saw a pay-per-view but they would maybe show highlight and I don't know why I got into that my dad hated it he
27:56
said I want you to look at that they ain't even hit each other it's fake it's fake so I I think my favorite part is
28:03
just listening to them say things to each other yeah that I wish I could say to people and I I just have to hold back
28:10
they're living I'm living vicariously I guess through through these guys that are yelling at each other but from a
28:16
young age I I've always now I got away from it when the Undertaker hung stone
28:22
cold on a cross and I thought H they've gone too far I'm out on this one boys so I quit yeah and when Jonathan and
28:30
Jeffrey zaleta uh started getting a little bit older also also semi-professional
28:35
wrestlers yeah they got in it they for a while they were in the school of Morton for a while but they had started
28:40
watching it and I told them I said boys I quit watching that years ago and they said oh it's not bad no more and they
28:46
they've gone away from that Attitude Era is what they call it into the PG era
28:51
yeah so now you can I mean it's sometimes it's still a little bit not fit you young kids watching or anything
28:59
like that but yeah I'm back in now nice I've never been in so me and my brother
29:05
me and my brothers we went to SummerSlam a couple years when they oh yeah when they still com Saturday that's when they
29:10
had it at Freedom Hall still um I don't know where they have it now but yeah they had SummerSlam in Johnson City SummerSlam in Cleveland Ohio this
29:17
Saturday there you go tune in I guess on peacock I was a big a Rey Mysterio fan
29:23
back in the day he's still in it yeah Ray's still in his son Dominic is wrestling now wow how old are these folk they're Ray's
29:30
pretty old now Ray's probably I'm I'm probably older than Ray's but he's in his 50s I bet I was going to say's I
29:35
think Ray's older than you wow okay had Ray Mysterio Booker T did you guys see
29:40
any of the y'all ever get into Politics on there not really probably shouldn't no not generally if you still want
29:45
people to live that's a good point no actually if we want more in but uh I'll just say this not giving
29:52
any kind of you know political message or anything like that but I did watch
29:58
much of the Republican National Convention okay was it like a SummerSlam event oh gosh this was Monday through
30:06
Thursday speaker after speaker but the the very last speaker that introduced
30:11
the Republican nominee that was Dana White yeah who's in charge of UFC UFC
30:18
just prior to him was Kid Rock I remember that I don't know if and then the dawn came in just prior now listen
30:24
to this lineup just prior to Kid Rock was like it may have been somebody else
30:31
squeezed in there I can't really remember but Franklin Graham yeah Billy's boy yeah really the guy over
30:36
Samaritan's person and not only was he ask to say a few words but he offered a oh it a beautiful prayer and anybody
30:42
watching that they got gospel that night yeah earlier in say something about uh
30:49
his language or something but wasn't it yeah he's tried he sent him he sent him a text and said calm down with the
30:56
language and it's fa but uh I think he may be trying but anyway Franklin spoke
31:03
and then prayed earlier in the day I would like for you boys to look this up I to watch this you need it's it's an8
31:10
minute speech from that Detroit pastor and I think his name heard it Su was his last name SE e w l l yep an inner city
31:19
Pastor there in Detroit yep what was his first name I don't know I've heard this story I'll have to watch the playback I
31:25
I remember seeing Kid Rock was on the ticket and seeing that Dana White was on the ticket but I didn't know that was on
31:30
there oh he brought the house down well Trump came to his church yes he did a
31:36
like a couple weeks it was a month before he got shot yeah huh and instead of you know that preacher was like well
31:43
is there something you want to say uh to us he's like no I came to hear from you
31:48
and they said well what do you want from us and he said I'd really appreciate your prayers yeah so they prayed over him Y and the guy says you know here a
31:55
month later you got shot at and who knows that could have been God answering our prayers of protection whatever but
32:01
uh anyway there was another key
32:08
speaker not not far in front of the main show there with with Trump you guessed
32:16
it Hulk Hogan oh I did remember Hulk being okay I saw Hulk hog he he ripped
32:21
the shirt he rips the shirt yeah R he's got to be at least 73 he's getting up there I mean cuz he was in he was in uh
32:28
what was it uh he was in the big battle with Andre the Giant before Andre died that was WrestleMania
32:35
3 which would have been uh I think 86 yeah somewhere around 80 Andre went at
32:40
it he body slammed that big nasty giant he did that was Andre passing the torch
32:45
though I mean we all know that right but Hogan's famous two lines his opening
32:52
statement and just like it was in his speech now let me tell you something brother yeah anyway brother here's
33:00
wonder wall and then I actually found out why he says brother so much he would meet so many people yeah could remember
33:08
their name so he just called everybody brother which that that's like a that's like a southern thing too like I call a
33:13
lot of people brother yeah because it's like it's easier to remember that's fair and then you at the end of his speech
33:18
and the end of all of his promos and wrestling mhm and what you going to do
33:24
when hwam mania runs wild on that's when he rips the shirt of course it is I got a little bit of wrestling in there I
33:30
think in James part two we need to get into the dichotomy of Hulk Hogan and Macho Man Randy Savage I'm going to have
33:36
to do some study in them an intergalactical
33:42
space I have to do some studying so that I can got get on the wrestling boat you got to get on the wrestling boat folks
33:48
speaking of boats that we can get on Jared there's a boat that our listeners can get on to what is that I don't know nothing about a boat but they can leave
33:54
us feedback yeah the feedback boat oh okay I thought he was talking about the old isign ooh the Old Gospel Ship 3 306
34:01
310 is that 310 the good old gospel ship's 306 The Old Ship aign is just a
34:07
that's just a good song just in there that's just one s we's talk about this off camera uh write that down but we do
34:13
need feedback stars and bars stars and bars leave us feedback let us know like the podcast you hate the podcast didn't
34:19
like the podcast you think someone else might like this podcast if you think
34:25
James never needs to come back ever again please comment I think we might have a highly requested part two I'm just I'm
34:32
I'm maybe throwing that out there but I I think we'll have a highly requ you guys are too kind we have to get your
34:38
brother on here too there you go there's some entertainment that would be fun that would be fun hey he starts telling them stories about his childhood getting
34:45
picked last in the DodgeBall selection behind the pregnant girl is that true stuff did he really
34:52
get picked by I mean according to him I mean I wasn't in his class but he says oh man poor John yeah I got so many John
35:00
stories not enough to get maybe come maybe come Kingdom Come the the last
35:06
will be first there you go he's banking on it he's banking on it on that note Jared here's the hard part
35:12
